INTEROCEAN is a medical device company that has grown through
continuous research and development by the great specialists of the
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber.
Back in the 2000s, decompression chambers were replicating foreign chambers because submersibles could not design themselves. The core of the chamber production is to create conditions for people to enter the pressure vessel and survive, and we have succeeded in localizing the decompression chamber for industrial diving by upgrading these design technologies.
On April 16, 2014, the Ferry Sewol disaster occurred. Divers who were conducting an underwater search for the missing person at the time were suffering from decompression sickness in a continuous desperate rescue operation. Our decompression chamber helped divers receive decompression treatment there, and it was an opportunity to realize the importance of the chamber in the actual field.
As the chamber began to be known, a number of domestic institutions with foreign products that were simply pressure-controlled began to look for domestic chambers with various functions added. We were promoting domestic supply at the time, supplied domestic chambers that actively reflected the needs of institutions such as Coast Guard Central Special Rescue Team, Coast Guard Diving Support Ship, and Central Maritime Special Rescue Team for the first time in the industry.
We expand our business to the field of rehabilitation sports as well as industrial diving and medical devices to provide optimal environment and information to sports athletes, helping them recover, train and improve their skills. It developed the world¡¯s first positive and negative pressure integrated sports chamber and supplied it to the Korea Institute of Sport Science and the Korea Bobsleigh Skeleton Federation.
